VL - Water supply structures & devices
Definition / description
These mostly smaller hydraulic structures and devices for water supply and diversion are predominantly found within farm water distribution systems. They cover channels as well as closed conduits used in irrigation water supply systems, including direct field outlets and intakes. Among others, these include channel checks, drop structures, sluice gates, culverts, inverted siphons, siphons, pipe drops, hydrants, outlet pipes and flood valves.
