Soil and water
Definition / description
Large quantities of water need to be supplied to satisfy crop water requirements. This water must be readily available when the crop needs it, and most of it must come from the soil. This section examines issues related to soil–water interactions and covers topics such as soil water content and its measurement, water movement in soils, infiltration, and soil water management.
